The papers are from my vast collection which try as I may, I never seem to get them down.

Feminine/For a Lady
It is the turn of our lovely Lynn to host the challenge this week, well I have to say that it is definitely not my cup of tea and under normal circumstances I would have really panicked about this challenge but fortunately I have found an image which I though just might be the one to use.
The image is Penny Black and called 'A winner'.
Well there are now lots and lots of super male chefs, three lived across the road from me years ago, Dad was a chef, and three of the Sons were too, Mother was a pretty mean cook as well.
I must be pretty good too as both my Daughters and family come for Sunday Lunch and any other meals they can. My Grandsons have been brain washed by their Mum as they say I am the best cook in the world but the biggest praise that I do get is from my Son-in-Law, who's job has some of the best chefs in the world, no expense spared, and still says my cooking is the best, especially my curries.

This is just about a first for me as it is the first time I have used this stamp and the first time for ages that I have not paper pieced an image. I have no idea why not.

These Rudolph days are really sneaking up on me, can't believe this month has gone so quickly.
So it is time for me to pop over to ScrappyMo's with my entry for June.
Three cards using the Woodware - Snowman Family, quite an old stamp but one that never dates. I love stamps like that.
On a personal note, I saw a new, youngish Dr on Thursday and it looks like there may be some movement, pity about the mask though as he seem pretty good looking and intelligent. Really concerned, which is a bit worrying. I have been thinking about these 'Old Wives sayings" and one of them has come to my mind.
I am at the end of my tether, What the heck is a tether?

The papers are quite old so I am very sorry that I can not tell your the make, especially as, I just had enough left for this card, how lucky was that? I coloured the lovely image to go with the lovely papers, maybe a tad deeper but I hope you think that it has worked

Good Morning, our challenge this week has been chose by our lovely Wendy and she would like to see....
Butterflies and or Bugs on your creations.
Our prize this week are these two lovely items from Craft Stash.
The backing papers are from LOTV, which has butterflies on them.
The die was free in a magazine, to be honest I really don't like saying that something is free from a magazine as you actually pay for the magazine, and they are not cheap these days, more adverts than ideas too, but this was quite a few years ago.
I cut them out from silver glitter card and then filled them in with paper that I thought went quite well with the background.
Blogland seems to be very, very quiet at the moment.
It is my lovely Nephews 50th Birthday on the 15th and all being well we are going down to Sutton-On-Trent to see him for a small family Bar-B-Que, weather permitting. We haven't seen him for over 12 months with Covid. He loves cooking, so we have bought him a cheese making thing and some herb plants as he also loves using herbs in his cooking and he also likes gardening. Hope the weather is kind.

I have gone for paper piecing .. ( no surprise there) here is my creation.
I have used an image from the Flora and Fauna set by Chocolate Baroque and I have paper pieced the flowers. In hindsight. I should have done the leaves too.

We have a lovely stamp and a great Embossing Folder from Lavinia Stamps for the prize this week.
I must admit that a flash of panic set over me but thank goodness for old stash.
I have made a circle card using this lovely, oldie but a goody image from Craftwork Cards.
I was also so very lucky to have some background paper that did pretty much match the image, probably Craftwork Cards too. The image is pre-coloured.
I have used various circle dies for the card.

Good Morning, time for the May Rudolph Day challenge over at ScrappyMo's.
For this months challenge I have made 4 circle cards using Woodware -Little Christmas Bird.
I think it must have flown off somewhere as I have found the packet but not the stamp now.
I have paper pieced the bauble with an odd piece of 8x8 paper floating around in my Christmas paper drawer. No idea of the make but thought it was quite appropriate for the image.

For my card I have used an old Kay Carly stamp.
I have used gems from my collection which I have added to the centre of the flowers and on the stems. Backing paper is from Craftwork Cards, a subtle turquoise dots.
Why is it that when you get some wonderful news, you cry, boy did I cry Thursday night, I read my Grandsons school report and exam results (what would have been GCSE mock exams) All 8's which was A*'s and one 7 which would have been an A. The teachers comments were fabulous too. Not like, mine, talks too much, can't concentrate enough. He has immediately been given a place at Trinity House college with an £800 pounds a month wage, never known a college give a wage before.
On the downside it could take up to ten years for him to be a Captain and I am certain that I will not be around then to see it. Well he wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps and it looks like he has the opportunity. He will be spending his time on the Andromeda with his Dad who is the Captain of this private yacht after finishing school. this month so he can have a taste of the life and to see if he can handle it.

For my card I have once again chosen the Chocolate Baroque ... Tulips from the Year of Stamping - February. It can be bought as a sing stamp.
The first paper background I have used I have had for ages but the spots were grey so I went over them with a red Copic marker. In case you are wondering, NO I did not colour all or the paper, just the ones that would show. The second card uses the leaf papers from the old set of Bloom and Grow.
