Stamping Sensations challenge - Favourite Stamps

The challenge over at Stamping Sensations this month is..

Favourite Stamps

I have used my very first favourite stamp.
It is a Hero Arts stamp, cling mounted and there is no name or date on the stamp.
It must be at least 10 years old, I have been on the H.A. shop and it is nowhere in sight, not surprised.

I really don't know why it was my favourite stamp at the time because it was a nightmare to stamp, the amount of wasted attempts to get a good black background was unbelievable but today with the stamping platform it was a breeze.

Stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.
Coloured with Copics - Lipstick Red and ProMarkers - Pear Green
A very old die set too, cut out in white card and then coloured the cut outs in the same red as the image.

After doing this card I decided to do another but in orange, didn't look good so binned it.
Thanks for popping  by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

These flowers looks beautiful in de black background. Did you colourized the background or are the flowers cut out en glue on the background black paper.
Beautiful made.
Thank you for joining at Stamping Sensations.

I totally agree that this stamp is a nightmare to stamp so well done on persevering because you've achieved a beautiful card. The colours are stunning and really eye catching. I think the stamp must have come out about 2006/7 as i had it when I was doing samples for a company then.

A perfect creation for our 'Favourite Stamps' theme at Stamping Sensations and so pleased you joined in, many thanks.

A gorgeous card Kath and the red really pops against the black background. I'm with you all the way on the Stamping Platform. I still hand stamp many of my smaller images but it's a must when using the larger stamps. It's saved me a fortune on card lol. Thank you for joining us in our 'Favourite Stamps' challenge at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x

Hi Kath

A beautiful stamp and a beautiful card.

These stamping platforms are magic aren't they? Lots of stamps have had a new lease of life since I got mine.

You made me smile with your comment on my blog. It is my hubby's birthday the week before Christmas and I never put any Christmas cards up until his birthday cards have had their airing!

Hope you are having a good week.

Love Jules xx

Wow Kath! This is such a headturner - those poppies look so vibrant against the black. I'm not surprised it used to be a favourite, even with all its foibles, but I bet it's even more of a favourite now it has the stamping platform to support it! Vicky x
