Allsorts Challenge week 493 - Poppies and/or Red

Good Morning all, it is my turn to hoast the challenge over at Allsorts this week and I have chosen the theme of....

Poppies or the colour red.

Tomorrow (Sunday 11th of November) is Remembrance Sunday here in the UK so I thought that we would commemorate the occasion.
It is also 100 years since the end of World War One.

Here is the prize for one lucky winner.

Inkylicious Poppy Stamp and a set of Distressed crayons

I have used Hero Arts - Poppy Background 2011
Papers from my collection
Border die is Die-Namics - Dainty Lace border

If you do not want to use Poppy's I have also done this card basically just using the colour red.

I have left the card without a sentiment for now.
Penny Black stamp from the Sunshine Flowers collection.
The die is from one of my favourites at the moment the Atlantic Collection by Sue Wilson.

If anyone out there is thinking of buying a Cut'n'Boss machine, contact me first so I can talk you out of it.

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody the film this week, loved it, great Queen Fan.
One of my regrets is that I never saw them in concert, but I did take my Daughters down to Wembley to see the Freddie Mercury tribute concert which was sad but excellent.

Thank you all so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Kath x

I am soooooo envious Kath, we've not got as far as seeing the movie yet, it's been pretty booked up at our local cinema since we came back from Spain. Like you a huge fan since I was young and I love to drive to Queen music, that or Verdi opera, not a lot of differnce is there - one for fast, one for keeping within the speed limits!!

We did see them in concernt a couple of times which was awesome and were also at Wembley for the concert, I still think my fav was Annie Lennox in that big skirt and Bowie in his green suite singing Under Pressure, legendary.

Ok now craft and loving your theme this week and you have made two perfect examples of how the theme can be interpreted.

Beautiful cards as is the one on the challenge blog.

We went to see Bohemian Rhapsody too - fantastic film, and a regret of mine too that I never saw them live.

Beautiful cards Kath and I love the burst of red on the second one. I do love poppy cards. Me and my Hubby are great Queen fans too but we haven't had chance to get to the cinema yet, still on our to do list. Freddie was a true showman and there's not really any one else like him. At my last job, we could choose music on a Friday afternoon and my choice was nearly always Queen as they got me in the mood for the weekend:) Crafty hugs, Sandra x
