Allsorts challenge week 457 - Ladies only

Good Morning it is Mervi's turn to host the challenge this week and she has chosen the theme of...

LADIES ONLY

Once again we have Digi Stamp Boutique as our sponsor.

and we also have this lovely stamp set.

I was lucky enough to have this image from Art Impressions

It is called 'Girl Friends'
Background papers Nitwits
Die is from Apple Blossom.
I have paper pieced the Ladies clothes apart from the white tops.
To be honest the die wasn't wide enough to go across the 6x6 card so I cut it in half and placed it at each end of the papers and covered the gap with the image.
Computer generated sentiment and SU punches.
Also a pretty bad photo.

So the weather seems to have been the topic of the week, can't really complain about the snow as we are in a valley and not had it too bad, about 5" but it has been bitterly cold, we have even had icicles, not seen these for years.
Both Grandson's finished school Wednesday lunch time, eldest was given homework, got that done but was gutted Friday morning when he received an e-mail with Maths and Music homework.
I hope that as we are having a bad Winter this means that we may get a good Summer for a change.

Take care all and thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Kath x

That's a fun image you have used with great paper piecing Kath and a lovely die. I often do that when things are too short. Pleased that you are surviving the weather, I have been walking to work this week.

It's a fab Birthday card Kath but I'm not going to count those candles, they look a bit too close to home.

Lots more snow overnight, looks pretty but down our single track Fen road we are cut off from civilization.

Keep warm,

That's a fun image and beautifully coloured.

Good tip about how to stretch a die cut!

Our snow has all melted this morning. Sunny as I type, but rain expected!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

A super card Kath, such a fun image.
We had lots of snow here which is very unusual - the thaw is well underway now though and it's really messy.

This series of stamps always make me smile. There is some sort of magic about these lively ladies!
Great card.

Hope your weather settles down a bit. We had ours about 2 weeks ago and just had the last of our snow melt today.

This is fabulous Kath... loving that fun image and the way you've paper pieced the outfits.. and clever use of the die hiding 'the gap'! My photos are rubbish at the moment too... something to do with all the grey days we've had! But the sun is shining this morning as I type so I can't complain!!

I did chuckle when you said your grandson had received homework by email.. the wonders of technology huh?? Was better when they couldn't reach us and we could play happily in the snow.... mind you, I remember in the 60's with 6 ft drifts still going to primary school!!!

Tee hee Kath .. .. that image really made me smile. That is what you call a birthday cake!!

Great paper piecing too. Some of those pieces look quite intricate!

Hope you are right about the "bad winter - good summer" theory!

Love Jules xx

These ladies & their gigantic cake made me smile. Love the split die border..it looks fabulous. (Last time I tried to split a die - not a border one though- it was not a splendid success as the cut edge just would not join evenly, although it looked as though it should!) Great work on the paper pieceing too. I'm glad you're not getting hammered with this dreadful snow, ice & rain so much of the UK is getting just now. Our more Northern states are bracing for another bad storm too. TFS & stay cozy. Hugs

We had about the same amount of snow too and an Icke hanging from the bird feeder! Fortunately all gone now but it is bitterly cold. These ladies certainly know how to have some fun. Perhaps we should invite them over to the playground to share some of that cake around. Hugs Mrs A.
