Allsorts week 559 - Dies or Punches

This weeks theme has been chosen by Ellie and she would like you to use either dies or punches or both on your creations.
Our Sponsor this week is Wowvow
With this voucher for one lucky winner.

I have used Spellbinders Candlewick Square frame die (you will be using quite a lot of this die)
and Simon Says Cosmos Flower Frame (you will be seeing not much of this die, I would not recommend it to my worst enemy (only a saying, hope I haven't got one)
The pink card is from The Works and the paper for the flower is Craftwork Cards.
To say that the die was very difficult to use is an understatement, even so I bit the bullet and cut the outside once and three times with the pattered papers and layered them.
I will be very surprised if I ever use this die again, but never say never.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

LOVE that Candlewick frame die Kath. Very elegant. What a shame that the flower die was such a pain to use . . . Hate it when that happens.

Still, you've made a gorgeous card with your perseverance.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Noted about the die Kath, rather like some Couture Creations ones I was asked to do some samples with once, an experience never to be repeated.

But the border frame is very pretty as is the flower which looks almost translucent.

If it’s not an easy die l don’t go there but your card is so lovely would it of helped if you had put tracing paper underneath? Enjoy your weekend x

Pretty card Kath - some dies are such a pain they get used once then disposed of! x

GOrgeous! I LOve your colours Kath.
Perhaps in a few weeks (months) you could change your mind and have another go. Would be a shame not to have another go.

Thank you for your honesty - I have dies like that one, too ;-)
I actually came over to say I LOVE the flower! What a shame it's so difficult. It really does look stunning. Beautiful card.

The size of the flower die would have put me off but also good to hear your thoughts on using it. Does look stunning though so well worth the effort and no doubt bad words hurled around your craft room. Storm Dennis is knashing his teeth outside so a weekend of tidying my craft room is in order methinks. Hope your staying safe. Hugs Mrs A.

It's a truly beautiful card, Kath. I do love how the flower turned out and the border is just beautiful and make the cards so extra special. I'm sorry you struggled so much with the flower die. Some dies are like that. Wonder if it's defective?

You may not like that die but your card looks amazing. I love the colours. If I have trouble with a die or stamp I always give it a second chance just in case I was having 'one of those days' xx

Hi Kath

What a shame you found the flower die such hard work .. .. it looks beautiful. Perhaps one day you will feel brave/strong enough to give it another try.

Some of my troublesome dies I find cut better if I have the cutting edge of the die facing upwards rather than downwards. I hope that makes sense and perhaps works for you.

Love Jules xx
