Make your own background at Allsorts

Allsorts challenge 543 and the lovely Lynn has chosen the theme of....

'Make your own background.'
She does not want to see any designer papers at all.
So paper piecing is out for me this week.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Crafty Devils with this set of four stencils.

The image is a Honey Doo Crafts - Delicate dandelions stamp.
Heat embossed wit HDC white white embossing powder.
The background is using a mixture of Distressed Ink and Distressed Oxide pads.
I have to say that I do prefer the Distressed Inks to the Oxides as they have more of a sheen on them.
The sentiment stamp is LOTV.
Border die is an old Die-Namics.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Love the blue and green colour palette Kath, despite the old saying that my Gran used to use that it should never been seen, it does work so well. Great resist stamping as well.

I think DI's are very much a personal preference and depends what you want to do with them, you are right about Oxides as they have a chalky finish, although are my favs.

What a great stamp Kathleen. LOve how you've manage to emboss such a delicate stamp onto your card. Makes my wonder why we actually buy papers when a Fabulous background can be made like this. LOve it.

Well you could do paper piecing if you made your own design paper. How about getting the shaving foam out ! Love your background colours. I bought a set of oxides and still haven’t unwrapped them so csn’t Say if
I like them better or not. Hugs Mrs A.
