Allsorts challenge 540 - Ribbon

This weeks challenge has been chosen by our lovely Wendy.
She would like to see some 'Ribbon' on your creations.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons.

with this lovely selection of ribbons.

To be honest for my card I have sort of cased my Mother's Day card from my Daughter.

I have used the MFT square scalloped edge die, once on white card and then on the pink striped card from the Works.
Very thin green ribbon for the stems and some flower buttons and leaves all from very old stock.
Topped off with a white bow.

So yesterday (Friday) was my youngest Grandson's Harvest Fesitval service in the local church to his school.  I have been to all of his and also to my eldest Grandsons events and I was not going to miss this as it was the end of an era. He leaves this summer to go to BIG school.
Couldn't see my Daughter anywhere, not as many parents as usual.
Lovely songs from years 3-6 with various items in-between. Wasn't until year 6 came to sing that I spotted my Grandson - still no sign of his Mother.
Waited outside for him to come out to walk back to school, he looked really shocked to see me,
Apparently it was only the parents of year 3 that were invited to attend and with ticket only.
No-one asked me to show my ticket, good job as I didn't have one.
Try and stop me going to see him in his Christmas Play.

Thank for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
Have a lovely weekend

Kath x

Well done on using up some very old craft materials & some ribbon too.

I love that you sneaked past the guards without your pass in order to see your grandson in action. You clearly looked like you were MEANT to be there so nobody challenged you!!! I'd Iike to see them TRY stopping you, somehow I don't think they'd get far!

Hugs, Sarn xxx

Oh Kath that is so funny!!! Would have loved to have seen the look on your grandson's face when he spotted his gate-crashing Grannie!!! It takes a brave Man/woman/horde of teachers to come between a determined grandmother and her beloved grandson!:)))) Hope you enjoyed the service anyway!
Your card is so pretty Kath, clever use of the buttons and ribbon.
happy weekend

So funny but at least you did gatecrash the right concert. Would have been awful to have sat through a different one with you trying to spot your grandson. Good on you. Like your idea of using the green ribbon for the stem of the button flowers. Hugs Mrs A.

Such imaginative use of buttons and ribbon Kath and a pretty colour palette as well.

I really miss the primary school events, they used to be such fun, I do still go to the odd one as a school governor but it's not quite the same when you don't have children and grandchildren performing.

Have a good weekend.

Love your card, Kath and those lovely buttons. I had a little chuckle at your Harvest Festival gate crash. I really can't understand why they would limit numbers like that. Most churches will accomodate large numbers. Good on you!
Thanks for the tip about Icon uk. I found them relatively recently and ordered my last lot of woodware stamps from them. I order pink ink there too as it is quite a bit cheaper. Have a great weekend xxx
