Allsorts challenge week 525 - Soft Pastels

Morning all and welcome to another challenge over at Allsorts.
Our lovely Helene has chosen the theme for this week and she would like to see...

Soft Pastels  on your card.

This is the prize on offer this week  for one lucky winner is from this weeks sponsor

Craft Stash is the fastest growing online craft store that specialises in papercraft for card making, journaling, mixed media and much more! We have over 10,000 products to choose from and we’re constantly adding new brands and new products from around the globe.

I have chosen the Penny Black wood mounted stamp - Aspire 3381.

This is a 5 x 5 card.
All the ink pads used on this card are Memento.
First of all I stamped it with a  very pale pink, then with a pale green and finally with a darker pink.

I made the background from various shades of Distressed Inks and also used the background paper that was left to cut the out the border die and to stamp the sentiment on.
MFT border die and MFT Square Scallop Edge die.

The card looks a tad wobbly but, try as I may I could not get a really straight photo of the card and no I had not partaken of a glass of wine when I was taking the photo.

So yesterday was our longest day, how quickly we will be back to dark and dismal evenings.

Oh and just another bit of information for you, did you know that you can now get a new passport on line and it is £10 cheaper than sending it off and you can take your own photos so you do not have to pay for passport photo's.

Both our passports runs out in September, which is still ok for Europe but if things change or if we decided to go further afield don't know if it would be the same so we decided to re-new ours now. Chris did his first and he got his new passport within 7 days, then I did mine and I got mine within 8 days, both special delivery
(must have been the dubious photo of me that made it take longer)

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Kath x

A gorgeous card Kath and I really like the pastel colours. I'd love to join in with this challenge if I get time over the next week (Lots of babysitting booked in, so we'll see how it goes :) We've recently had new passports, although we did it the old fashioned way and they were back with us in just over two weeks, so quite impressive really. Take care and have a great week. Crafty hugs, Sandra x

This is stunning Kath, the stamp and colours are so delicate and beautiful , the background paper is the perfect choice.
Not convinced about the wine...methinks the lady doth protest too much ;)))
Thanks for tip about the passport...can't wait for mine to need renewing (not that it's had much use)...you REALLY don't want to see the scary photo!
xx

Loving this one Kath - that is such a versatile stamp usable for lots of occasions. And yes, I know the feeling of not being able to get a 'straight' photo! Stupid cameras!
