Allsorts challenge week 517 - Feminine

Back again, with another challenge for Allsorts and our lovely Mervi has chosen the theme of ...
Feminine  (as it is Mother's Day over in Finland) so she would like to see to Feminine creations on your entries.

We have two stamps as our prize this week from Woodware, they are not our sponsor but have kindly donated these stamps.

Penny Black 40-218 - Relection (2013)

Papers - Hearts and Flowers - Craftwork Cards
Bit of lace coloured to match the papers.
Left the bottom right for name and sentiment.
Paper pieced the dress from the same pad.

I decided to bite the bullet and use a stamp that I have had for quite a few years now, that I actually won on the Penny Black and More challenge,  and I am ashamed  to say that this is the first time I have inked up this stamp.
To be honest I was put off using it as I am not good at colouring (hence I do a lot of paper piecing) and the skin frightened the life out of me, it also had a dressing table with it, that I did not know where to start with, so I have also left it out of this card, thank goodness they are separate stamps. Also the little bits of black are part of the image and it is not me that has cut it out wrong

But I bit the bullet and decided to give it a go, I am secretly pleased with it, more so because I have actually used the stamp at last and don't feel guilty that it could have gone to someone who could have used it immediately.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Rudolph Day April 2019

Time once again to pop over to ScrappyMo's for the monthly Rudolph Day challenge.
The challenge runs from the 25th - 30th of April.

My cards for this month is using the lovely MFT Die-Namics die that was first showcased for a lot of us by the lovely Di - in The Snippets Playground see her post here. I feel that there was a mad rush from I guess, most of her followers, to snap up this die, well I did and have seen a few posts using it since.

I loved the multicoloured glitter paper/card she used but I decided to use just one colour.

Using bronze glitter card and same for the sentiment

Using green glitter card but peel off for the sentiment, coloured green

Using red glitter card and coloured peel offs for the sentiment.

All three cards are using my favourite die at the moment -
MFT Square scalloped edge square die.
Next time I use this die I am going to try it with coloured baubles, which probably means cutting out the image three times.
I think that I prefer the first card, but to be honest I really can't make up my mind.

Thank you all for popping by and any comment you are kind enough to leave.

Penny Black & More - April -MId month reminder

I am here today with my first post for the Penny Black and More  challenge as a member of the Design Team.
This is the April mid-month reminder post

The challenge for April is Springtime

Here are the lovely prizes for this months challenge.

The first three are from Penny Black

and the forth prize is this lovely stamp from Woodware

Using Penny Black 40-668 Flutterby

- but on this occasion I have not used the butterfly because I wanted to use a circle card for this image and the butterfly was too large and I haven't seen any butterflies around my neck of the woods yet,
(probably see one tomorrow)

I have paper pieced the leaves and coloured the image with Promarkers.
The background papers are from Crafty Individuals.

Thank you so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge 515/516 - Butterflies,Blossoms,Bugs

Good Morning as it is coming up to Easter we are having a two week challenge and it is Brenda's turn to host and choose the theme.

She has chosen - Butterflies, Blossoms and Bugs.

We have a new sponsor for you for this challenge with a £15 voucher to spend at the ....
The Paperbox is a family owned business specialising in card, paper, envelopes and card blanks. We have just one mission, and that’s to provide a consistent, reliable source of quality craft materials. Over the years as the company has developed, we’ve outgrown multiple premises until we finally moved into our very own purpose-built factory in 2016. It’s from here that our products are carefully and responsibly sourced, cut and creased to order and lovingly packaged for delivery.

For my card, I have, once again, used a Penny Black stickeroo.

Now you can see the butterflies and you can see the blooms but if you look very closely on the large yellow flower you can see the bug. A Ladybug, I usually call them Ladybirds but on this occasion I call them Ladybugs! This was also from another  PB stickeroo.

My News.

My next DT post will be on the 18th of April, when it will be for the half way reminder post for the April challenge for Penny Black and More as a DT member.
I have been a guest designer a few times since I have been on the Allsorts team but to actually be on THE team is a total honour.
Luckily I do know quite a few members of the team as they are also members of Allsorts.
I will not tell you the panic that set in when Brenda asked me, but I did say to her this is the second time you have nearly given me a heart attack.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to all my lovely blogging friends for all your lovely cards for Chris and I on the occasion of our Golden Wedding Anniversary yesterday.

Enjoy your Easter, home or away and I hope that the Easter bunny comes hippity, hoppity, down your garden path, layden with eggs of course.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts week 514 - Sentiment In Focus

Good Morning, Saturday once again and another challenge over at Allsorts.
This week Helene has chosen the theme of....
Sentiment in Focus.

She would like to see the sentiment on your creation taking pride of place.

Our prize this week is this lovely sentiment stamp from our sponsor..

Here is my card.

Apart from the pearls, everything on this card is from Craftwork Cards.
Pretty simple but in real life it is quite effective.

So from Monday it is going to be a very hectic three weeks for me and also in that time I have more exciting news to tell you.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave are very much appreciated.
