Pixies Snippets Playground

Getting very close to the 300th post in the Playground, what a great job Miss Di is doing, think Parsnip could be swinging the lead though ( a Northern Expression) and also a Nautical expression.

So, many of us have bought the NitWits paper pads from LOTV and most of us make 6 x 6 cards from them and we end up with a few couple of inches of spare paper. This card is using up some of the spare inches of one of the paper pads for the backing papers.

I have used the Simon Says stamp and die - Bouquet of Thanks, stamped onto a snippet of LOTV paper.
I have  added some pearls to the top two squares, which do look better in real life than on this photo.
What a day yesterday, poured, nay bounced down all day and was also bitter cold. In the Winter I have to take my Wedding ring off as my fingers must shrink with the cold and I have nearly lost it a few times but luckily enough it has always fallen into my handbag, it is always fine in Summer but for the past few weeks I have had to take it off, so you can tell how cold it has been here, never had to do that before.

Thanks so much for popping by.

Kath xx

Very pretty card Kath. Gorgeous stamp and I recognise those papers!
Weather not great here either, although I think we've been luckier than you! It's getting darker by the second...it's going to throw it down very soon! Look after that wedding ring...you might be able to wear it again (hopefully soon!!)

Love this card Kath! A great way to use up those precious snippets - I have loads tucked into the backs of the 8" x 8" LOTV pads so you've certainly kicked off an idea there with me. Yup, the temperature certainly has dropped, even down here am bundled up in brushed fleece trousers, top and cardi!

Goodness, you're right - almost 300 playground weeks coming up! Must think of something special - maybe Parsnip doing the 'dance of the seven woolly scarves' if the weather doesn't warm up soon!

Hugs

Hi Kath,
beautiful snippets card and such a super way to use them too.
I love the wonderful colours, and your gorgeous bunch of flowers.
Yes we too had horrendous rain yesterday but not all day thank goodness, and yes it is slightly cold, but not like autumn or winter.
My stepson lives in Nottingham, and put his heating on yesterday.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Beautiful card, love those flowers against your patchwork background. I know what you mean about the weather, I just wish it would stop raining. Fortunately, or not, one of the side effects of my morphine is that I have my own personal summer going on year round. Rarely sleeping with anything over me but did get up to a 1 tog duvet in the winter!

Pretty card Kath and another good way of using snippets. The weather has been dreadful, we've had to have the heating on and I can't ever remember doing that in July and August before

What a beautiful, soft, elegant card Kathleen. Just lovely! Love those papers! Just had to smile at your ring dilemma - mine is the opposite - it gets so hot in Summer that my fingers swell too much to wear my rings! I envy your cold!!!

I love your pretty pastel flower card, Kath, with the fantastic quilt-like snippets background! A genius way to use those spare bits! It's so interesting that you have had early cold when it should be summer and over here the heat has been extreme and merciless. If only Mother Nature could be more fair to her earthly children!! Hugs, Darnell
