Boys will be boys

That is the title of the June challenge over at Crafty Calendar challenge blog.

The sponsor for this challenge is

Here is my card.

I actually bought this image while looking for another one because it was so apt for my
Brother-in-Law.
It seemed to just fit him perfectly, he walks with a stick, he has a funny beard and a dog, the dog is actually black but I didn't want to colour it in black incase the lines did not show, so it is actually a dark grey, but looks blueish on this photo. Took the photo numerous times but still came out the same.

I paper pieced the shirt and trousers, LOTV/Nitwits papers, some gold embellishments for the buttons.
Chipboard numbers covered with gold glitter. Name gold mirri card.

I made the card but before I put the name and number I asked my Hubby who do you think this card is for, straight away he said "our kid' as he is my Hubby's Brother, asked my Daughter the same question a day later and she said 'Uncle Steve'
Do you think that I am evil?

Thanks for calling and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Ha ha ha . . . no we certainly DO NOT think you're evil . . . just clever to find an image that obviously relates to Steve so well.

Great masculine card.

definitely not evil Kath, you made a card that your husband and daughter immediately knew was for Steve, you couldn't make a more personal card if you tried.

Not evil at all Kath, just personalizing to the recipient, who could ask for more, plus it's a super card.

Hi Kath,
he is going to love this wonderful card.
I felt the samewhen I made hubbies last year with his disabled scooter on, and that was a Dr Digi image, but he loved it.
Love the paper piecing and your added gold buttons that was a super idea.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Of course not, Kath! You are not evil, you are a hoot and I suspect your brother is, too, or you wouldn't have made this very funny and fun card for him! And for his blue dog! I know, it's dark grey, but I do wish it really were blue, haha! Now who's evil?! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Darnell

It's brilliant Kath, love the image and the paper piecing! I love using these brilliant images for the men in my family too...funny how often I can find a resemblance...strangely enough the recipients are not always flattered...but they do always laugh!!
Yes you are evil...but I love your sense of humour :)))
