Rudolph Day - May 2016 and apologies

First of all I would like to apologise for my lack of commenting this past week but I have been on holiday and the only device I take with me, is my kindle.

Bit of a poor show from me this month as I haven't really made any Christmas cards but I did manage to up-cycle a few gift cards from last Christmas and they are really plain and simple as all I did was trim them to fit the nearest card size, not a very good photo either.

But I have something else to show you, the Christmas card that my Son-in-Law and Family received from his Boss, my Daughter brought it down to our house just before Christmas and said..
"Mum, can you make me 50 of these for next year"
She obviously has my Husband sense of humour and not mine!
Very, very difficult to photo but hope you get the idea.

So if anyone can handle this, let me know and I will pass you on to my Daughter!

Happy Rudolph Day (week)

I know that your prompt answer was "Of course I can". (I'm reminded of your popup box card you said was your 1st try). This pretty lacy folded card is awesome. Bet it was not a hand creation, but one done by laser cuts! Hope ya'll had a grand time on your vacation, with perfect weather. TFS & Hugs

Great collection of upcycled cards - and as for that lacy card, surely you're going to make 200 of them?
Thanks for joining in this month's Rudolph Day Challenge

Great variety of up cycling and of CAS Christmas cards wouldn't it be fine if the lacy card was easy to do then as Jane says 200 would not be a problem LOL

Great upcyling for your cards - some of the images are also in my upcycling box so we must have received the same cards! Love the lacy card - like MaryH, I think it may be laser cut or someone had an awful lot of patience!

Great upcycling Kath! The lacy card looks amazing but I'd still be making the first one by Christmas...let alone 50!
Hope you enjoyed your holiday, despite the weather!

Hi Kath, I love the idea of recycling old Christmas cards and I always save my favourites, your cards look wonderful. As for your Daughter's request, I'm impressed that she's given you so much notice but I'd struggle to make one, let alone 50 lol! ;) X

Love the up-cycling, a great bunch of cards. You Daughter sounds a little like mine, although she is more considerate in giving you a years notice.

Great recycling Kath. Got to keep up with Christmas card lol..It's to late to start panicking in November! 50 seems a small number lol..Thanks for the offer, but, sadly NO!

My DIL raids my box of cards nearly every time she comes.

Ooh sorry… had a right old chuckle at you being asked to make 50 Kath !!! but have to say the card looks spectacular.. it's kind of origami which I love… it reminded me of some guy on TV in the 60s… he used to tear paper and fold it really quickly and then come up with something amazing like this… now it's really bugging me what his name was? Ali? Robert? grrr!! Lol. I wouldn't have the patience though… would have to invest in a'Scan and Cut' machine!!!
Your cards are all gorgeous!! definitely NOT a poor show my friend. I zoomed in for a closer look and they all look stunning and well done for upcycling too!
Hope you had a fab holiday...have a great weekend!
Love 'n' hugs, Sue B xxx

At least she didn't ask you to make 50 boxes. Lovely collection of upcycled cards I might have to think about doing something similar. Hope you had a great holiday xxx

Lovely recycling cards. I think the lacy card is laser cut, we received a similar one a couple of years ago and I wondered for ages how it was done !
