Allsorrts challenge week 526 - Perfect Pairs

Our lovely Brenda has chosen the theme for this weeks challenge which is ...

Perfect Pairs ( please note not pears)

This means a card with a matching tag or envelope or all three.

Our prize this week is this lovely stamp and die set.

My card using Penny Black Whispers

and the envelope and tag using the same image.

I have used Penny Black - 3377K - Whispers from 2006.
I love this stamp.
Background papers on the card are old SU
Paper pieced with papers from LOTV and the sentiment was also computer generated on the same papers.
A gem for the centre of all of the flowers, could be any make as I haven't bought any for yonks.

Once again as it was a wooden stamp it was very hard getting the three images together but I also go by the name of Percy Veer!
Please do pop over to the challenge blog to see the lovey creations by the rest of the team.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave are much appreciated.

Rudolph Day - June

Only realised yesterday morning that it was time for the  June Rudolph Day challenge over at Scrappy Mo's.
The challenge is open until the last day of the month, in this case the 30th of June.

Here is my card.

The image is from Art Impressions - Dairy Christmas set.
This stamp was in a package that was sent to me for my Birthday from a lovely blogging friend.
Bronze glitter card
Backing card Vintage Christmas Snowflake - Hobby House
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
SU punches.
You can now see by my colouring why I do a lot of paper piecing, whenever possible.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave, they are very much appreciated.

Allsorts challenge week 525 - Soft Pastels

Morning all and welcome to another challenge over at Allsorts.
Our lovely Helene has chosen the theme for this week and she would like to see...

Soft Pastels  on your card.

This is the prize on offer this week  for one lucky winner is from this weeks sponsor

Craft Stash is the fastest growing online craft store that specialises in papercraft for card making, journaling, mixed media and much more! We have over 10,000 products to choose from and we’re constantly adding new brands and new products from around the globe.

I have chosen the Penny Black wood mounted stamp - Aspire 3381.

This is a 5 x 5 card.
All the ink pads used on this card are Memento.
First of all I stamped it with a  very pale pink, then with a pale green and finally with a darker pink.

I made the background from various shades of Distressed Inks and also used the background paper that was left to cut the out the border die and to stamp the sentiment on.
MFT border die and MFT Square Scallop Edge die.

The card looks a tad wobbly but, try as I may I could not get a really straight photo of the card and no I had not partaken of a glass of wine when I was taking the photo.

So yesterday was our longest day, how quickly we will be back to dark and dismal evenings.

Oh and just another bit of information for you, did you know that you can now get a new passport on line and it is £10 cheaper than sending it off and you can take your own photos so you do not have to pay for passport photo's.

Both our passports runs out in September, which is still ok for Europe but if things change or if we decided to go further afield don't know if it would be the same so we decided to re-new ours now. Chris did his first and he got his new passport within 7 days, then I did mine and I got mine within 8 days, both special delivery
(must have been the dubious photo of me that made it take longer)

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Just a reminder that the Penny Black and more June challenge is still running and you have a few more weeks to enter this challenge which is .....

Blooms, Butterflies and Bugs.
Our sponsors are
with these lovely prizes.

"My name is Suha and I have created Swedish House Crafts in the second part of 2016. It is a little Swedish online shop with lots of enthusiasm for crafting in a different style, dare to be different. Visit SHC and learn more. I have been professionally crafting since 2008, I gave colouring classes (with Promarkers) in Sweden, had exhibition in 2014, and used to make cards and mixed media mainly. I have a master degree in digital and visual design. Yes, 100% of graphics in the shop are my artwork including the logotype. Because I am not leaving my education, I am using it in my passion for paper crafting in the first place. Great combination as the future is full of plans and surprises, hold on and follow SHC on Facebook and blog, you'll find SHC everywhere."

I have used the Penny Black image 40-513 Burst of Blooms

The papers are once again LOTV
The flowers have been paper pieced with some Craftwork Cards papers but the centre of the flowers and the outer sections have been coloured over with Promarkers.
I used a small corner punch for the card and all the papers.

The Penny Black stamp that is on offer as one of this months prizes is the same set of stamps that my first card for this month was taken from

Thank you for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge week 523 - Black and White plus one other colour.

Good Morning, it is my turn to host the challenge this week at Allsorts and I have chosen one of my favourite themes...

Black and White plus one other colour.

Our Sponsor this week is Stamp Addicts with a £15 voucher to spend in their store.

Stamp Addicts are releasing a brand new range of beautiful floral stamp sets tomorrow at 12noon on Hochanda TV, each stamp set designed by Teri Sherman include a large background stamp and two stand alone blooms and/or butterflies.

If you check out the Allsorts challenge blog you will see two of their lovely new images used by Brenda.

I have used the Woodware stamp - Stiched Poppies
Stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and coloured with Promarkers Berry Red.
To be honest I didn't rush to buy this stamp as I really was not keen on all the grunge on the stamp but  bought it in the end,

Three eventful happenings this week,.

Came back from a lovely holiday and went down with a horrid cold, cough and sore throat.

The day we came home Grandsons and Mum and Dad went to Loch Lomond, so we haven't seen them for three weeks, on the plus side Lynda and Ethan (14) have both passed the test to drive a speed boat. Lynda says that Ethan is a natural and he was perfect in everything. Well I have always known that.

Before we went on holiday we had 6 eggs in our Blue Tit box and when we came home all the eggs had hatched and then on Tuesday they all flew the nest. This is the first time we have had all eggs hatch and all the birds lived to fly away.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
