Allsorts challenge weeks 551/552

Yes, we have a two week challenge for you to cover the Christmas Festivities.
Lynn is in charge for this and she has chosen the theme of ....

Anything goes.

We have a £15.00 voucher from Stamp Addicts for one lucky winner.

Another Christmas card from me for this challenge.

I have used the Penny Black stamp - Dancing and Prancing.

Stamped with VersaFine Nocturne, so good for doing heavy black images.
Coloured with ProMarkers
 Black and silver glitter card.
Used a white pen to cover the black snow and then glittered with white glitter.
The coloured card that you can see is only what I took the photo on and not part of the card.

I think that this will be my last post till after Christmas so I would like to take this opportunity to say a huge THANK YOU to ...

Brenda and the Allsorts team.
Brenda and the Penny Black and More team
and last but not least all my lovely followers.
Not only for all your lovely comments but for your friendship too.
I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas

Hope you all get some lovely crafty goodies too.

Penny Black and More - Mid-Month reminder

I am here this morning with my Penny Black and More December - Mid month reminder.
The challenge is Flowers all Over.

I have used Penny Black - 40-616 Floral Medley

Once again I have gone for a purple shade for colour of the flowers.
A warming colour for the time of year, well that was the theory anyway.
I have stamped the image twice and cut out the large flowers and placed them  on top of the original stamped image. This does give them a bit of dimension.

Hope you have all finished your Christmas shopping and presents wrapped.
Only 6 more shopping days to Christmas! Thank goodness.

Tomorrow is Austins school Christmas concert and I won't be gatecrashing this time as I have an official ticket.

I have just noticed that I have a couple of new followers but I can not find a link to your blogs to return the favour, would you be so can as to tell me who you are so I can follow you. Thank You.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts Challenge week 549 - Snowmen/Snowflakes

Good Morning it is once again my turn to host the challenge this week at Allsorts.
I have chosen the theme of ....

Snowmen and /or Snowflakes

Our prize this week is this lovely Christmas stamp set.

For my card I have used another window sticker

It came as a set of three (all different) with lots of snowflakes too, from Lidl and each image has lots of glitter - 99p for the sheet.
It is a large card 8 x 7 which I made myself to fit the image.
Panicked about the envelope but I did have some that fit, phew.

The background card is from The Works, £3 for a 12 x 12 pad with some really gorgeous Christmas designs, card not papers and double sided as well.
The backing glitter card is from B and M.

I am also entering this card into the Rudolph Day, December challenge for all the ones who have entered every month but not been a winner

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Rudolph Day - November 2019

Good Morning, well it's officially the last Rudolph Day of 2019
You have until the 30th of November to enter your creation over at ScrappyMo's.
Here is my card.

It is rather a large image so I had to make the card size to fit the image which is 8" x 6.5 inches.
The image is from a set of three WINDOW stickers.
It is pre-coloured and has lots of silver glitter on it.
They also come with red and silver snowflake (as yet not used the snowflakes.
I have also made a card using another image and that card size is 7 x 8 inches, saving that for next years RD.
The third image would make a 12 x 7.5" card, not done that yet.
They are on a sheet of film type thing and if putting them on your windows you just put them on and they cling but I have used Cosmic shimmer acrylic glue as they were going on to glitter card.
The glitter card is from B and M - 12 sheets (non Shred) for £1.99
The Santa images are 99p a sheet of 3 from Lidl plus snowflakes.
Three big card for just under 50p.
Well ok there is the card and the backing card  as well but from stuff I have had for ages.
I also bought a set of Snowmen which I will be showing in a couple of weeks time.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts - week 547 - Thank you/New Year

It is the turn of our lovely Tracy to choose the theme for our challenge for this week and she has chosen....

Thank you or New Year.

Our sponsor this week is Craft Stash with this lovely stamp set.

My card uses a Magenta stamp - Flowers in a Frame.
I don't really send New Year cards so I have chosen the Thank You theme.

The background papers are from Craftwork Cards and I have also paper pieced the flower head in the same papers.
Coloured the leaves and border with ProMarkers.
A metal square , not really a brad, in each corner, which are very old so, as I am very old, I can not remember what the make was.
Sentiment stamp, LOTV, punches SU.

As I write this post I wonder now if I should have put the metal squares in the corner of the pink frame, instead of inside the frame but what is done is done.

Well in one months time all the little kiddies and some not so little kiddies will be getting very excited, is it just me, or are the years just flying by?

Thank you for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Good Morning, Brenda has chosen the theme for this week which is

White on White.

Our sponsor is Stamps by Chloe with this lovely prize.

Here is my card.

The Joy die is from The Works a gift to me from a really lovely blogging friend.
The stacker trees die is a Dee's Distinctively die set, had for quite a number of years but not used for ages.
I have added a touch of glitter to the ends of the leaves and the snowflake.
Hope you all had a great Bonfire night. Next stop Christmas, are you all ready for that??!!

Not done much crafting these past couple of days and we had less wood for the bonfire than we should have had because Chris and I started building an Ark.

Penny Black and More - Christmas

Good Morning another new challenge over at Penny Black and More and the theme for our November challenge is..

CHRISTMAS
We have a prize from Penny Black and a Voucher from Crafts U Love.

Using Penny Black 4013K Snow Squad.

This Penny Black stamp is 10 years old.
The papers are from an old LOTV paper pad.
I have added glitter to the Snowman and at the base of the image and a little bit on the falling snow.

I have bought a nw PB stamp, not shown it yet, but that also had a lot of falling snow which was shown as black circles, which annoys me a bit, but I know they can not do it any other way.
So decided to go over the the black with a white pen and then glitter them, looks far better but I had made this card before and I wasn't going to do it again.

Sorry my Allsorts card was late being published yesterday but Friday night I went in to edit it and forgot to click publish, so it was just set as draft and I did not notice till the lovely Sarn informed me that my card was not on her RL.
Thanks Sarn.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts week 544 - Make your own flowers

So we have been asked by Helene to 'Make our own flowers' for her challenge this week.

Our sponsor is Buddly Crafts.
With this lovely stamp set.

Here is my card.

These are all made by using a Gemini die by Crafters Companion, Daisy Patchwork.
Each square die is individual, and there are six individual dies in the set.
I have chosen to use the colours of yellow and white as yellow is really not used that often but it may brighten a dark November day.

Thanks for poping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Rudolph Day - October 2019

A tad late, but here I am here now with my Rudolph Day entry.
The challenge will run until the 31st of October and to enter you need to pop over to..
Scrappy Mo's blog and join in the fun and see the lovely creations from the team and entries.

Here is my card.

It is a dreadful photo, so very sorry, but for some reason my camera decided to go on strike, which is one of the reasons I am late in entering, but you get the rough idea.

The stamp is by Woodware - Christmas Knits.
Stamped the image onto DP that has snowflakes on it, although it doesn't show here, then cut it out.
Coloured Rudolph with Promarkers.
Sentiment die by Presscut.

I did 6 of these to go with some others I made through out the year.

Coming up to Christmas the school does have a Christmas Jumper Day, which is optional.

This is the end of an era for me as it will be the last time I make CC's for my Grandson's as Austin goes to BIG school next year and they only send a card to the form Teacher and as Ethan is in his fourth year at BIG school he only needs one card too.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Make your own background at Allsorts

Allsorts challenge 543 and the lovely Lynn has chosen the theme of....

'Make your own background.'
She does not want to see any designer papers at all.
So paper piecing is out for me this week.

Our fabulous sponsor this week is Crafty Devils with this set of four stencils.

The image is a Honey Doo Crafts - Delicate dandelions stamp.
Heat embossed wit HDC white white embossing powder.
The background is using a mixture of Distressed Ink and Distressed Oxide pads.
I have to say that I do prefer the Distressed Inks to the Oxides as they have more of a sheen on them.
The sentiment stamp is LOTV.
Border die is an old Die-Namics.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge 542 Gold or silver

Hi there, another challenge over at Allsorts and our lovely Ellie has chosen the theme for this week.
Which is......
Add a touch of Gold or Silver to your creations.

A4 stamp set from Rare Earth

Sorry about the poor photo's, a new camera will definitely be on my list to Santa.

I decided to use this lovely bell die and do a cards in both gold and silver mirri card and a Swiss dots Embossing folder.
The die is from Tattered Lace and it is actually 3 bells joined together but I decided to slice them and use them separately so I made 3 gold and 3 silver cards from the one die cut of each colour.
The sentiment is a Presscut die.

My youngest Grandson has just been on a school trip to Whitby for four days, the thing he seemed to be most impressed with was seeing Bram Stokers grave, I worry about him.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Penny Black and More mid-month reminder

Good Morning, it is time for the mid month reminder of our 'Pretty in Pink' challenge
over at Penny Black and More.
This months prizes are...
Penny Black 51-473 Christmas Bow Steel Die
Some super prizes, above from Penny Black a lovely floral collage stamp and die set, a store voucher from Lost Coast and a Visible Image stamp which seems very appropriate for our theme.
Lost Coast are a rubber stamp company offering a sophisticated line of unique vintage, collage, shrine, angel and other images to excite your creative impulses. A $10 store voucher for the winner.
Image result for visible image stay strong stamp

My card uses the Penny Black stamp 236J - Pink Toes.

I have paper pieced the dress and shoes.
Coloured the image with Promarkers.
All the papers are from very old stash and unfortunately no idea of the makers but I thought that with the pink, black and grey dots they fitted the image perfectly.
I have had this stamp for a long time and to be honest I have no idea why I bought it because neither of my Daughters or my Niece had ballet lessons.

Had a lovely day at the Dome, met with the lovely Ladies from Stamping Sensations,
Sandra, Sally and Lynne, Sally brought us all a delicious piece of home made Lemon Drizzle cake.

For the first time, for a very long time, there was actually a stand that had some Penny Black stamps, didn't buy any as a lot of them were the sort that you have to colour the stamp before stamping
and I can not get that right for love or money.
Pleased to say that I didn't spend too much!

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave are very much appreciated.

Good Morning once again it has come round to my turn to host the challenge over at Allsorts.

This time my theme is Spots and/or Stripes.

For the prize this week we have two stamps donated by

For my card I have used the Woodware - Fan Flowers stamp.

I stamped the image using Memento - Peanut Brittle
as I thought it was a perfect match for the Stamping Up very old papers.
I cut the frame using MFT scalloped edge frame die.
Added a touch of orange glitter on the dots, of course it doesn't show on the photo.

I am off to the Dome at Doncaster tomorrow, really looking forward to it, last year was really super as I finally got to meet Brenda and three lovely Ladies from Stamping Sensations, Sandra, Sally and Lynn.

Thank so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge 540 - Ribbon

This weeks challenge has been chosen by our lovely Wendy.
She would like to see some 'Ribbon' on your creations.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons.

with this lovely selection of ribbons.

To be honest for my card I have sort of cased my Mother's Day card from my Daughter.

I have used the MFT square scalloped edge die, once on white card and then on the pink striped card from the Works.
Very thin green ribbon for the stems and some flower buttons and leaves all from very old stock.
Topped off with a white bow.

So yesterday (Friday) was my youngest Grandson's Harvest Fesitval service in the local church to his school.  I have been to all of his and also to my eldest Grandsons events and I was not going to miss this as it was the end of an era. He leaves this summer to go to BIG school.
Couldn't see my Daughter anywhere, not as many parents as usual.
Lovely songs from years 3-6 with various items in-between. Wasn't until year 6 came to sing that I spotted my Grandson - still no sign of his Mother.
Waited outside for him to come out to walk back to school, he looked really shocked to see me,
Apparently it was only the parents of year 3 that were invited to attend and with ticket only.
No-one asked me to show my ticket, good job as I didn't have one.
Try and stop me going to see him in his Christmas Play.

Thank for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
Have a lovely weekend

Allsorts challenge - week 539 - Boys to Men

Our theme this week over at Allsorts has been chosen by our lovely Tracey and the theme is ....

From boys to men, I have gone with the boys.

Our Sponsor this week is....

with two lovely stamps.
I have actually bought quite a few items from Craft Stash and their prices are very reasonable and the service is great.

The image is from Lili of the Valley
Papers are from a very old pad.
Die cut the name and number from turquoise glitter card.

Thanks for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
I also apologise for not commenting on all of your lovely creations, last week but have had a weeks break in the lovely Spanish resort of Cambrills.

The holiday did have a slight drawback as I had a couple of mosquito bites on one of my legs but went to a chemist and was given Cortisone cream which did help a lot but the bright red skin was not a pretty sight

Rudolph Day - September

Another month and another Rudolph Day challenge over at Scrappy Mo's.

Very late this month as I have been away on holiday and I did intend to do the post and schedule it  but totally forgot and now I can not remember which image I was going to use, so I have chosen this one and I just hope that I have not used it before, for this challenge in the context that it is now.

The stamp is Woodware - Framed Trees which I know I have used before but this time it was stamped and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer- Persian Sea.
The backing papers are by Sara Davies.

I know it is a bit of a rubbish post but was in a real panic as I really do not like to miss the RD challenges as it was started by my lovely blogging friend Sarn and it took me a while to join in and then when she handed over the baton to Mo, I was also determined to enter every month.
Huge thanks to Mo and her dedicated team.

Thank for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave,

Allsorts week 538 - Trees and Leaves

This week it is the turn of our lovely Mervi to choose the theme and she has decided it will be...

Trees and Leaves.

Our sponsorr this week is Tattered Lace

With this lovely die set

This is my take on the theme.

Another chance to get another Christmas Card, or ten, under my belt.
The tree is a old but loved Stamping up image, from a lovely set called 'Season of Joy'
I stamped both images in Versa Fine CLAIR - Shady Lane
The holly border is by Judi-Kins, it has two lovely Christmas borders on it.

The border stamp had a previous owner, our lovely Brenda. You may or may not remember that quite a few years ago she did this thing where everyone who left a comment on her blog, went into a draw for a stamp and this border stamp was won by me, long before I became a member of the Allsorts DT.
Who would have thought that years later it would come in really handy for a challenge at Allsorts.
Thank you again Brenda.

Thank so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave are very much appreciated.

Using Penny Black 3698K - Neighbours

Not one of my better photo's?
Coloured the images with ProMarkers
Paper pieced the gift boxes with papers from the Works and so are the backing papers.
Some old pink ribbon with the sentiment stamped on a piece of the backing papers.
The butterflies came with the stamp.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
