Allsorts challenge - week 365 - In the Pink

Welcome back to another challenge here at Allsorts and after all the excitement of our 7th Birthday challenge, we have some more exciting news for you....
We have a new DT member ANNie of Aussie ANNie fame, please give her a huge welcome.

Susan is the host this week and she has chosen the theme of
- use pink on your creations.

Our sponsor this week is Sizzix
and this is the prize on offer.

This is my card.

From the transparent set Sunny Wishes, bit of a sod to colour but love it.
I have made a narrow tall card to fit the image as I didn't want to over-shadow it with embellishments  and wanted a more of a CAS look.
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards.

Have a fabulous week.
Hope you are all feeling 'in the pink and for those of you who are not retired, enjoy the Bank Holiday.

Oh and for those of you who saw my Rudolph Day post, there is no way that I am going to be making  even one of those cards. I told my Daughter that my name was Scholefield, not Hallmark!

Rudolph Day - May 2016 and apologies

First of all I would like to apologise for my lack of commenting this past week but I have been on holiday and the only device I take with me, is my kindle.

Bit of a poor show from me this month as I haven't really made any Christmas cards but I did manage to up-cycle a few gift cards from last Christmas and they are really plain and simple as all I did was trim them to fit the nearest card size, not a very good photo either.

But I have something else to show you, the Christmas card that my Son-in-Law and Family received from his Boss, my Daughter brought it down to our house just before Christmas and said..
"Mum, can you make me 50 of these for next year"
She obviously has my Husband sense of humour and not mine!
Very, very difficult to photo but hope you get the idea.

So if anyone can handle this, let me know and I will pass you on to my Daughter!

Happy Rudolph Day (week)

Happy Birthday - Allsorts- week 364

Good Morning
Yes it is our 7th Birthday today, here at Allsorts and we have a fabulous sponsor with a £50 gift voucher for the lucky winner from...

The theme this week is an easy one .... Happy Birthday .
Just to save anyone any embarrassment we do want to see the words Happy Birthday somewhere on your project.

I have used the Happy Birthday stamp from Woodware and paper pieced the letters with papers from LOTV, the background paper is LOTV too.

The flower die was floating about in my flowers and foilage die collection, so thought it was about time I used it.
Would love to see you joining in the challenge.

Allsorts challenge week 363 - Vintage

Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Marrianne and here is the prize on offer.

The challenge is being hosted this week by our lovely Mervi and she has chosen the theme of
Not something that I am really comfortable with but this is my contribution, some people may not think this is vintage but to me lace and roses are.

Papers - Joy Craft
Stamp - you've seen it before and you will see it again as I love it - from the T for Transparent set, Penny Black, funnily enough I do not have roses I'm my garden, I don't really care for the actual flowers, they seem  to make such a mess.

Isn't it funny how you turn to some images time and time again and others, you hardly ever use?

Don't forget next week is our Birthday week, fabulous prize for the lucky winner.

Snippets Playground meets Cuttlebug Mania

Morning all, so after seeing Di's post yesterday morning I decided that I would join in the
Cuttlebug Mania challenge this fortnight which is

and I also thought I should make it suitable to enter into
Now this is supposed to be a window box, a style of card from Craftwork Cards, to be totally honest I am not sure if I have used it right, but I do like it.
I have used one of my favourite dies - Kirby Blooms by Poppystamps.
Fresh Foilage - Memory Box
Cut on my trusty Cuttlebug, which I have just treated to new plates.
Coloured with distressed inks while still in die.
Sentiment Craftwork cards.
I did put a little bit of paper on the base of the card.
The red in the background was only a backdrop.

Monday was glorious, Tuesday and today back to rain.

Allsorts week 362 - There's Magic in the Air and in my Bird box.

Another Saturday and that means another challenge at Allsorts and this week it is hosted by the lovely Brenda and she has chosen the theme of....
There's Magic in the air.

So Fairy's Wizard, Magicians, the choice is yours.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons

Here is my card.

Image is a pre-coloured from LOTV, this is the nearest thing I have to Magical.
The papers have somehow magically removed themselves from the pad. The sentiment is computer generated and the letters and numbers are from Memory Box - Parker dies.

But that is not all.....

Allsorts is very shortly to have it's 7th Birthday

Tattered Lace are our sponsor with a fabulous prize of a £50 gift voucher.

Also I would like to share a photo taken the other day and we are really excited as we have not had a nest for a couple of years now but his year we have a nest and 8 eggs, I will try to get a photo later when the Mother is out and about. Blue Tits by the way
I have to take the photo from the TV screen and unfortunately the pictures are not always that good as  the WIFI interferes with it but this isn't too bad up to sometimes.

Thank you all for looking and I really do appreciate your comments.

Less is more at the Playground

I was supposed to enter this card yesterday morning, then realised I hadn't even written the post and when Chris mentioned the words, lets go shopping, well that was it.

I have made the card for this weeks theme at Less Is More and as the die was cut from a snippet of blue card, and the image is stamped onto a snippet of white card it will be going into
My all time favourite Penny Black stamp - Gossamer (2008)
Sentiment - Woodware
An old Spellbinders die.
Papers - Bo-Bunny.
I must admit that it is quite some time since I entered the LIM challenge.
Thanks so much for calling.
