Allsorts week 461 - New Beginnings

Welcome to another Saturday and another challenge over at Allsorts.
The lovely Tracy has chosen the theme of...
New Beginnings

Our sponsor this week is Digi Stamp Boutique.

DigiStamp Boutique offers a wide range of digi images designed by Sally-Ann Hancock. My work means the world to me - it allows my passion to draw and create, to fit with my family life too - often the inspiration for my designs. Hope you enjoy as much as I enjoy creating.

We also have this super stamp as an extra prize this week.

Here is my card.

I have gone for a CAS or LIM style of card this week.
Using a Penny Black Stickeroo and peel off letters for the sentiment.
Think I should have put Best Wishes, good luck doesn't seem to be right some how.
Oh well..... live and learn.

Happy Easter to you all.
Thanks so much for popping by and any comment you are kind enough to leave.

Rudolph Day - March 2018

Well here we are another month has gone by and we are on to the third RD challenge of the year.
You can find all the details over at Scrappy Mo's blog here
You have till the 31st of March to enter a little bit longer than last month.

Only 4 this month, instead of my usual 5 as I ruined one and had no more of the backing paper left.
The stamp is an old Penny Black wooden stamp.
I stamped the image directly on the card base then cut the shape out of the patterned paper.
Oops just realised that I haven't put a sentiment on, idiot.

Really lovely day on Sunday, heating on first thing but then not until 9 p.m. BUT snow is forecast for Wednesday, hope they are wrong. Done enough 'Dashing through the snow' for one year.

Allsorts 459 - Bring on the Bling

Good Morning all, another Saturday, another challenge over at Allsorts we are at week 459 and the lovely Tracy has chosen the theme of ......

Bring on the Bling

Our sponsor this week is Little Claire
Little Claire is a team of 3 consisting of Gill (Little Claire) Steve and Carol (long suffering member of staff/friend/all round good egg – but not a beautiful as Gill!). Necessity is the mother of invention’ this is the saying that sums up the creation of Little Claire Designs – we love stamps and what better way to satisfy the stamping ‘urge’ than to create our own designs exactly as we want them!
These are the prizes from Little Claire.

This is my card.

The papers are from Craftwork Cards and they come with the images just black and on an off whiteish (is there such a word?) background.
I have coloured the images and where the dots are I have covered them with gems, I have also put Wink of Stella on the flowers but as always it does not show
The sentiment is also from CC's (very old) and like the papers I have backed it with gold glitter card and then added some gems.

Thanks so much for popping by and I really appreciate any comment you are kind enough to leave.

Here are the stamps

Here is my card.

To be honest, my heart sank when I saw this challenge title and the song "I who have nothing' came into my head.
Our lovely Brenda at Allsorts sent me this stamped and heat embossed image.
Thank you Brenda.

It is a stamp - called as you may guess - Jack and Jill by Stampabilities (no longer around)
I have done it as a sort of CAS card, leaving white space around the image so it stands out as it is quite a small image.

I seem to remember that Nursery Rhymes were written by the Satirists of the day regarding something that had happened, at that time, usually by the Royal Family or events
of that era or something strange that had happened. I used to know what quite a few meant but the only one I can remember now is the meaning of Ring a ring o' roses, which was to do with the plague.

Have a good week everyone.
Thanks for popping by and thanks so much for any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Allsorts challenge week 457 - Ladies only

Good Morning it is Mervi's turn to host the challenge this week and she has chosen the theme of...

LADIES ONLY

Once again we have Digi Stamp Boutique as our sponsor.

and we also have this lovely stamp set.

I was lucky enough to have this image from Art Impressions

It is called 'Girl Friends'
Background papers Nitwits
Die is from Apple Blossom.
I have paper pieced the Ladies clothes apart from the white tops.
To be honest the die wasn't wide enough to go across the 6x6 card so I cut it in half and placed it at each end of the papers and covered the gap with the image.
Computer generated sentiment and SU punches.
Also a pretty bad photo.

So the weather seems to have been the topic of the week, can't really complain about the snow as we are in a valley and not had it too bad, about 5" but it has been bitterly cold, we have even had icicles, not seen these for years.
Both Grandson's finished school Wednesday lunch time, eldest was given homework, got that done but was gutted Friday morning when he received an e-mail with Maths and Music homework.
I hope that as we are having a bad Winter this means that we may get a good Summer for a change.

Take care all and thanks so much for popping by and any comments you are kind enough to leave.
