Allsorts Challenge week 430 - Ribbon

Ribbon but more than just a bow is the challenge this week at Allsorts chosen by the lovely Wendy.

We have Fantastic Ribbons for our sponsor this week
The prize on offer.

Here is my card.
Please do pop over to the challenge blog and see the fabulous use of ribbons that my team mates have done.

6x6 Craftwork Cards cardstock
Orange backing card and spotty papers from my Craft room.
Divided the papers with some SU orange ribbon and then used up some of the small Penny Black stickeroo's that were left on various sheets.
I am very pleased to report that my 7 year old, Great Niece loved it,
she said it included all of her favourite things.
Hit the jackpot there.

Don't know what planet I have been on this week, totally didn't realise that it was Rudolph Day yesterday. Now I normally reserve my reading for holidays, but Wednesday I had an hair appointment  so I aways take my Kindle, as I hate magazines but once I start reading I can't stop so I totally missed Thursday this week so loads of apologies for any lack of comments.

My Mother used to say "Once our Kath gets her head in book, that's it, we won't hear from her till she has finished it"

Thank for popping by and your comments are very much appreciated.
Have a good week.

Allsorts challenge week 429 - Forest Friends

Good Morning All, the challenge this week at Allsorts has been chosen by our lovely Tracy M
and she would like to see Forest Friends on your creation.

Prize No. 1
Two lovely stamps.

Prize No 2
a really lovely die set from Tattered Lace.

Here is my card.
I have managed to sneak in another Christmas card.

Papers are Nitwits/LOTV
Snowflake Brads from yonks ago.
Ribbon sentiment bought from the Range ages ago.
I must admit I panicked with this challenge but I spotted this quite apt image from Bugaboo as you can find, deer, rabbits, foxes, owls and birds in a lot of forests.

My Daughter got up in the middle of the night a few weeks ago and looked into her back garden and couldn't believe her eyes, there was a deer, and she does not live anywhere near a forest, we have no idea where it came from.
To be honest yesterday I thought we could have been living in a Rain Forrest it rained that heavy so many times.

Thank you all so much for popping by.

Pixies Snippets Playground

Getting very close to the 300th post in the Playground, what a great job Miss Di is doing, think Parsnip could be swinging the lead though ( a Northern Expression) and also a Nautical expression.

So, many of us have bought the NitWits paper pads from LOTV and most of us make 6 x 6 cards from them and we end up with a few couple of inches of spare paper. This card is using up some of the spare inches of one of the paper pads for the backing papers.

I have used the Simon Says stamp and die - Bouquet of Thanks, stamped onto a snippet of LOTV paper.
I have  added some pearls to the top two squares, which do look better in real life than on this photo.
What a day yesterday, poured, nay bounced down all day and was also bitter cold. In the Winter I have to take my Wedding ring off as my fingers must shrink with the cold and I have nearly lost it a few times but luckily enough it has always fallen into my handbag, it is always fine in Summer but for the past few weeks I have had to take it off, so you can tell how cold it has been here, never had to do that before.

Thanks so much for popping by.

Allsorts challenge week 427 - Use the colours of your flag

Challenge 427 has been chosen by our very talented Mervi and she want to see the colours of your National Flag on your creations

Our sponsors this week is Digi Stamp Boutique.

Here is my card.

I have used Taylored Expressions stamp - Blooming Background
The stitched oval is part of the stamp but I have stamped an old SU 'Thank you' stamp in the centre.
To be honest I stamped the sentiment before I start colouring, as it is a wood mounted stamp, just in case!
Coloured with Pro markers.
I love this stamp but I wish it was all the right way up.
Please do go over to the challenge blog to see the lovely creations from the rest of the DT.

Thanks so much for popping by and any comment you are kind enough to leave.
