Rudolph Day March 2017

Once again it is Rudolph Day over at Scrappy Mo's  so another chance to get a few Christmas cards under your belt.

Sorry about the wonky photo, they were all the same.
I bought  Frozen 6 x 6 paper pad whenever it was fashionable and used quite a few of the papers but I had quite a few sheets left and all with the little images on them.
So I decided this year they needed using up as they were now a bit out of date.
I stamped a Christmas corner die and heat embossed with either white embossing powder or
Cosmic shimmer Graceful Mint lustre EP. and added a sentiment, which in hind-sight should have had a backing.
I made eight of these cards.

Another poor photo, sorry. I blame it on my camera, the weather, lighting, where I take my photo's but mainly I think it is my fault, just rubbish at taking photo's.

The challenge runs till the 31st of March so you still have plenty of  time to enter.
I meant to post this Tuesday

Snippets Playground weeks 273/274

I think I missed the last two weeks in the Playground, sorry Miss but according to reports it was very wet and wild and I couldn't find my Wellies.

I have two cards for this fortnights challenge and you will see why.

I have used the Tonic -Floral Blooms Patterned Panels Die,  firstly cut out of a snippet of white card.
Then I cut it out again from the plain side of a 12 x 12 papers no idea of the make but it is called Oui Oui, terrible time getting spell check to let this through.
Inlaid the cut outs into the white card and then put the coloured outline onto cream card which I cut down to fit the panel. The cream card does have a bit of sparkle in it but of course it doesn't show here.
Couple of card candy on the first and a few pearls on the second. Left the second card blank as I am starting to do on a few cards now as I have enough Birthday cards for this year and next year.

Hope all this makes sense as I am totally lost.

Thank for calling

Allsorts challenge week 407 - Anything but a card.

Good Morning all.
Our lovely Susan has chosen the theme this week of Anything but a card, and
we have this super prize on offer
Plus an extra  surprise too.

My Grandson's homework during the February half term holiday for History, as they have been doing about castles was to build a castle. He is only 11, 12 next month, if they are expected to build a castle at 11, goodness knows what it will be in a few years time.

To be quite honest my first idea was to jet off to Scarborough and build a sandcastle but that didn't go down too well, as the said castle had to be taken to school.

After numerous failures and frustrations my Daughter found this kit on e-bay for the price of 1p + £2.50 postage. What a find,.
While I have to say it was very. very, difficult to put together, but eventually, after many arguments, tears and tantrums, and that was just from me, you should have seen the state of Mum, Dad and poor Ethan.  This was the finished product.

It was a team effort - and took a day to do all the cutting and a day to glue and slot it together.

It was open night at his school last week and we went to have a look round and all the castles were on display, it certainly wasn't just him that had help, a stunner of a cake, the walls were little blocks of Cadbury chocolate, a fabulous lego one and lots of other brilliant ones.

Thanks for calling, really appreciate any comments you are kind enough to leave.

Little Claire is a team of 3 consisting of Gill (Little Claire) Steve and Carol (long suffering member of staff/friend/all round good egg – but not as beautiful as Gill!). Necessity is the mother of invention’ this is the saying that sums up the creation of Little Claire Designs – we love stamps and what better way to satisfy the stamping ‘urge’ than to create our own designs exactly as we want them!

And this stamp is the prize from Little Claire

Here are my cards

I did the background using Distressed inks using a pan scourer with the yellow sponge part.
