Allsorts challenge week 361 - A cherry on top

We have two sponsors this week.
Digi Stamp Boutique

and Sizzix with this prize .

The front of my card
and the inside.
Helene is hosting the challenge this week at Allsorts and she would like to see your creations bearing  fruit!

The cherries are wooden items that I have coloured and covered with glossy accents.
The image on the inside of the card is a Papermania stamp that I have had for years and think this is the first time I have used it and I have paper pieced both the cone and the ice cream.
The papers are from a 6 x 6 paper pad, which seems to have lost it's front but it does have cherry's on the front of the card.

The gold shiny thing is a Craftwork Cards sentiment which seem to have attracted the attention of the camera more than the image.

Thank you all for looking, have a good week and if you could pop over to the challenge blog and check out the lovely creations that my fellow Team mates have made.

Rudolph Day - April 2016

The 25th of the month has reared it's ugly head again and time for another

The image I have used for these cards is from Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I first saw the image on
Chris's - and here's one I made earlier blog and I just had to have the image, thought it a super card for my youngest Grandson's class mates.

Printed directly onto the card along with the computer generated sentiment.
I think I have made 32, only 30 in the class but a couple of extra in case he makes a mess for one reason or another.

Easy to colour and just added a tad of glitter, bit worried about that 'cos glitter is a girl thing!'

Been told to hold off on eldest Grandson's Christmas cards as he starts 'Big school' in September and she is not sure what the pro's and con's are on sending Christmas cards at 'Big school' for boys, but if she thinks that I am waiting till the last minute to make some, she has another think coming.
They will always come in.

Happy Rudolph Day/week everyone and thanks for looking.

Allsorts challenge week 360 - Red, white and blue.

Good Morning, thank you all for your fabulous entries in our Ribbon and Roses challenge last week.

It is my turn to host the challenge at Allsorts this week and as it is St. George's Day here in England, I have chosen the theme of red, white and blue, I would love to see these three colours on your cards.

Our sponsor this week is the Hobby House.

I have attempted a bit of a CAS look this week
and I have used a Honey Doo Crafts stamp called Floral Corner Flourish.

I stamped the image and then stamped again on a snippet of white card,  coloured the second image and cut out the flowers and placed them on the card with sticky pads to raise them up.

The other flowers are part of a set from the same company,  and I just stamped them directly onto the white card. In hindsight, I should have stamped the flowers where the sentiment is and placed the sentiment where the small flowers are, that's life!
I have gone over the flowers with a Wink of Stella (which only seems to show on the red ones) and added pearls to the centre's.

Hope you all have a great week.

Snippets Playground week 225

Hello, how are you?  thought I had better use a different stamp for my entry this week, I made a batch of these when  I first received this stamp, all different colours and it is called Poppy Bloom, from Hobby Art Ltd, I bought it in a set of two, the other one I have blogged previously called Poppy Field but I am certain I have not blogged this image before but I could be wrong.
Absolutely love both stamps.

I have kept it simple because I did not want to distract from the wonderful image.
My snippet is the white card the image was stamped on and while the red card stock backing the papers was from a 12 x12 sheet the backing on the image and sentiment was from bits and bats.

Sentiment Craftwork Cards

The flourish, which I believe is a Tattered Lace Die but I can not find the packaging anywhere.

Things disappear you know, Mr Nobody comes in during the night and next day I can not find a thing.!!!???

Also in the middle of making a batch of 8 of these, well not quite like these, for Grandson's teacher's Thank You cards, for the end of the year, good job they are all female. Yes I know there are a couple of terms to go yet but I'd rather be prepared than a last minute Lucy.

Lovely day yesterday, hope this is the start of something big  as I am sick of puddle jumping in the playground and it is time we got some use out of those sun beds that took all our spending money a couple of years ago and saying that I do think that Parsnip is over pricing his ice-creams.

Take care everyone.

Allsorts challenge week 359 - Ribbon & Roses

Good Morning and it's that time again for another challenge here at Allsorts and Brenda is the host this week and she has chosen the theme of ...
Ribbon and Roses.

Our sponsor this week is Crafty Ribbons.

This is my card.

The papers and the pre-coloured image are from LOTV
Sentiment is Craftwork Cards

I have no idea how this appeared in my ribbon collection but I have a uneasy feeling that it is from a chocolate box, well did you really think that I could tie such a bow!

I have 4 bow makers and still can not get a decent bow.

I have gone all over the image with a Wink of Stella pen and while it may not show here it looks pretty good IRL.

Have a lovely weekend and a great week.

Birthday Snippets

Just checked to see which image I used last week for my Snippets Playground card and yes, it was this one, sorry to repeat myself so soon.

Penny Black T for Transparent set - perfect pairing.
White embossed and coloured with a deeper yellow than the card stock, a tad of green on the stems

Now I also spotted that last week I did not point out what was my snippets, sorry Miss.
My snippet this week is the white card that the die was cut from, left over from a 12 x 12 sheet.

Backing card SU, when I made this card it was a lovely bright sunshiny day, so I chose yellow, good job I didn't make it today or I would have chosen grey!(post written 12/4/16)

Sentiment Craftwork Cards
Die is Tonic, Topnote Trellis, you need to have patience to use it but I have had worse.

I am also going to enter this card into the Penny Black and More challenge which is Birthdays.

This post will go live on the 13th of April and I would like to say that yesterday was my 47th Wedding Anniversary, Our Wedding day was a very wild day, my veil flew off, my wedding dress was lifted above my head, thank goodness for petticoats, take note all you young ones who probably never wear them these days. Today it was not windy but it poured down. Do you think the Gods were trying to tell us something? I hope we can make the next 3 years.

Allsorts Challenge week 358 - Purple Passion

Here we are again, and our new challenge for week 358 is.....
Purple Passion
and Tracy would, as the title suggests like to see the colour purple on your entries.

My image is PB slapstick/cling stamp - Fresh, I love this image
The papers are old ones from Digi Stamp Boutique.

We do not have a sponsor this week but this is the prize on offer, for one lucky winner.

Well I really threw myself into the challenge this week as on Wednesday I burst a blood vessel in my first finger, right hand, it was black and blue but it is now purple.
Do pop over to the DT blog and see the lovely cards made by the rest of the team.
Thank you.

Have a great weekend everyone, just loving the lighter nights.

Snippets Playground week 223

First of all I must apologise for the horrid photo, there is actually no white on the flower nearest to the vase, I think it is reflection from the glossy accents but I have taken lots of photo's and they all turned out the same, think it was the weather, 'cos my camera never lies!!!!

The image is Penny Black from the Perfect Pairing T for transparent set.
Ribbon and backing card - SU
Sentiment - Craftwork Cards
Papers - very old SU.
Not a colour combination that I would have chosen myself but I think it does actually work, peach and red.!!!

Right, better scoot off to the playground, see what sort of mess it is in this week.

Enjoy the rest of the week

Allsorts challenge week 357 - April fool/Humourous

Well don't the weeks fly by? Another Saturday and another challenge here at Allsorts.

This week Brenda is hosting the challenge and she would like to see Funny -  Humorous images on your creations.
Our lovely sponsor this week is

I have used a Dr Digi, pre coloured  image called Weekend Wanda, to be honest it looks a bit like me everyday, minus the curlers.
The sentiment may be a tad difficult to read  as I stamped it on the gingham paper but it says..

Inside every older person
is a younger person
wondering what happened!

How true.

Can't wait to see your creations.

Thanks so much
Have a fabulous week.
