Saturday once again and I hope you have all had a good week.
It is the turn of Julie to set the challenge here at Allsorts and she has chose the theme of
CAS
and our Sponsors this week are DigiStamp Boutique.
and
Sizzix
with this lovely die.
I decided that I had no sympathy cards on hand and when you actually need them they are a very difficult and upsetting cards to have to make, so I thought this challenge of a CAS card would be ideal for this type of card as you really don't want anything fussy and fancy.
I kept it black and white.
Cuttlebug embossing folder
Woodware sentiment stamp
Penny Black image from the clear stamp set Efflorescence
Drew a black line down with a ruler, well no, it was with a pen but using a ruler as well so it looked as though it went through the S. I made two.
It is only a couple of weeks since I made them and unfortunatly, I have now used both of these cards, so I have now made another 5, just hope that I am not tempting fate.
Please pop over to the challenge blog to see the great CAS cards by my other team mates
Thanks so much for popping by here.

Hi Kath,
these are the cards we all dread making, but you have made such a wonderful job of this.
Great design as always, and fab embossing too.
I very rarely make CAS cards as I have to sit on my hands so I can't put anything more on them.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Beautiful CAS created design, with super colours chosen. ..xx

This is so elegant in black and white Kath... perfectly CAS and just right for a sympathy card! Heck though... don't go into mass production!

(PS.. I did smile at the pen/ruler line!)
Very elegant in black and white and so suited to a sympathy card. As you say so hard to make when they are actually needed. I've just had to use my last one up in my stash so need to make some more. Hugs Mrs A.
Always difficult to make, but, sadly always needed..Good idea to have a few on hand.
Very elegant Kath..A great CAS card for the Challenge.

Simple, elegant and tasteful, perfect for the occasion, and as Chrissy said a great idea to have a few if you need them....but I hope you don't!

A very elegant card Kath!

A very apt observation, that it's better to have this type of card on hand, rather than making just when you need one. This one is so elegant with the lovely rose, and it looks just appropriate to the occasion with the simplicity of your design. Love the border embossing and the line separation ...what a pretty layout. TFS & Happy Sunday
Lovely and delicate card. It is so sad process to make, that I made them about twice a year, hope that's enough.
Happy Sunday anyway;-))m
This is the perfect card l dore the lovely Rose makes your card look so elegant too! x
Perfect clean and simple card Kath, and I agree it is easier to have them made already otherwise I end up buying them. xx
A very elegant sympathy card Kath. I like the extra touch of embossing at the edge, and clever use of your pen and ruler!
Sorry to hear you've already had occasion to use them.
Hugs, Sarn xxx
A beautiful card Kath. I know what you mean about it being hard to make this at the time. Better to make them in advance. Sorry you have needed to use them though.

The stamped image and neutral theme is perfect for the occasion Kath. Sympathy cards are not easy to design, but you did a great job here.

What a gorgeous monochrome card design Kathleen.
