Rudolph Day - September 2015

I have two new dies both are from Poppy Stamps
Snowy Merry Christmas
Snowflake Ribbon

I knew I wanted to use these two dies together and this was my first idea.

Well that was a great mistake  but thought I would show and tell.
I had to find a pretty flat EF as the shimmer paper would not be thick enough not to show the bumps from the EF.
I did not manage to get the ribbon die the reach the end of the white and as you can see not a level ending
On this card I went for a more simple layout and I do prefer this one apart from the fact the white glitter paper does not show up as much as the silver glitter on the first card and the photo is not as good.

I did have a 3rd idea but that is in the bin.

Oh and for the very first time I have used the StickIt backing adhesive for the dies, it did make them more sturdy.

There are snippets used on this card, mostly from the shimmer paper and the white glitter paper so off to the Snippets Playground.

Happy Rudolph Day everyone and pop over to Mo's to join in the challenge

  3. I didn't notice the wavy bit being short, either, until you mentioned it - we're all our own worst critics! Both cards are gorgeous and that snowflake ribbon die is lovely

  4. Well I love BOTH of these pretty, glitzy and festive cards. You've pointed out the teensy problems on the first card, but I bet no-one would've noticed if you'd kept schtum! Lovely dies.

  9. I wouldn't have noticed the short ribbon if you hadn't mentioned it either. Both cards are lovely. The jury is still out on the stick-it paper. I haven't been very impressed so far, but I can see it would be useful on those intricate snowflakes. Kate x

  10. Yay! I've got this snowflake die too! Fab cards Kath, great design on the first one, shame that die cut wasn't a tad longer (wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't pointed it out...) but you really nailed it with the second card, equally fab design and it looks perfect!

  18. Kath, what an awesome swirl die. I LOVE it. And you used it expertly on this wonderful CAS card to show it to perfection. Each color of the glitter paper is pretty, but the silver does show better in your photo. However, #2 does have a nice gleam in the photo, so expect it's just as lovely as #1 IRL. Great Rudy entry.
