Allsorts Challenge week 322 - Pearls and Gems or Pearls or Gems - not sure which is right
Penny Black Saturday Challenge -Hot Summer colours
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes, with a stamp and die
Penny Black & more - Summer Flowers
Pixie's Snippets Playground - week 188

6 x 6 card - Craftwork Cards
Su - Rich Razzelberry card and ink for sentiment
DP. - Marianne - Pretty paper block - flowers.
Lil'Inkers - Die
Lotv - sentment stamp
Coloured with Pro-markers
Pearls on the flowers and gems on the swirly bits
Oh no, nearly forgot, the stamp is Penny Black - Delightful.
Stamped directly on to the DP
I have sticky pads on the sentiment as I thought the card looked a little flat.

I have seen this stamp since it was first released and thought, shall I, no, yes, no and finally went for it, but i have to admit I had a real shock when it arrived, it was far bigger than I anticipated and luckily enough I did have a block big enough, I wonder why they are making some stamps so big these days!
Well this is a first for me, first time I have entered 4 challenges in one go, isn't it hard work!

While writing this post I am listening to an interview by Johnny Walker with Cilla Black and they are now playing her version of You're My World, I have to say that there is a far better version of this around somewhere and I have a strange feeling that my Sister may have it. Yes it was me in one of those boxes that you could go in and make a record. Ah, my Mother used to say I was a good singer, before tunes came out.

  3. This is gorgeous Kath, love the vibrant colours, the stamp is beautiful (big and beautiful!) the end result is so striking, really eye catching!
I'd like to say I can sing but it would be a lie....years ago when they introduced 'Baby Bounce and rhyme' to the libraries and I was expected to sing with the tinies, my own children, then adults were absolutely horrified...they were convinced it would put small children off books and reading for life to go through such a traumatic experience...harsh, but true!!

  7. Hi Kath,
forgot to say we don't get a very good radio recption where I live as we are too close too France.
So listening to the radio is a bit of a pain, with all the interference.

  8. Oh this is so pretty against that vivid turquoise! Love it. I've gotten a couple of the PB's like this recently (not sure if this is one however), and they are quite large. You've done it proud with the colors and the placement is just perfect. Had to laugh at your waffling! We must be related...and yeah, guess we are both a bit weak in the resistance department too! TFS & Hugs.

At least if it's large you won't miss place it. I've a stamp that's very large and it has to sit on my desk lol.

  16. Your card turned out beautifully! Love the stamping on designer paper. I had the same thoughts as you did when I first saw how large some of the Penny Black stamps are, but I am really loving some of them. They are perfect for creating mixed media pieces and for card making, it's always fun to just use part of the stamp if the whole thing doesn't fit the design.
So happy you shared your gorgeous creation with us at Penny Black and More this month!

  19. Your card is so pretty, Kath!
Your story made me chuckle as I used to love those boxes you could make a recording in. I too had not too bad of a singing voice when I was younger. Lost my range a bit though as I have aged. Oh to have those days back when I could belt out a song in perfect tune!
