Pretty in Pink

The challenge this month over at Stamping Sensations is Pretty in Pink.
Stamp is Penny Black - pop pop poppy.
Rich Razzlebury card and ribbon
SU punch
Spellbinder dies.
Paper I have no idea.
Computer generated sentiment.
The circle and the backing of the sentiment were cut from snippets of the RR card therefore this is also going into the Snippets Playground.
I have also just realised that I can also enter this into the Allsorts challenge which this week is Bingo,
Bingo, I have a line, Ribbon, Flowers and Dies

I was quite shocked when this stamp arrived as it was much larger than I thought, cut it down using the Spellbinder circle die and it is a cling stamp and when I removed it from the clear block the impression from the back of the stamp was left on the block, how strange, never had that before.

By the way has anyone ever tried colouring a stamp using Promarkers or Copics on the actual stamp?
Bet it doesn't clean off.

Have a good week.

  3. Kath, this is just gorgeous! Love these florals and the color you chose to do them in. I've done copics directly to rubber (not to the clear ones yet). I just used a baby wipe very fast and it cleaned off. You could also use the blender liquid, but I would be careful not to get much on, wipe it fast, as the alcohol could dry or damage the stamp. Mine didn't seem to get bothered, but I don't make a habit of doing this on the same stamp either. Good luck...TFS & Hugs. Hope you had a grand wkend.

  4. Forgot to say, I have the blender fluid in a tiny spriter bottle, and spritzed the image as I color slow, and it dries on me. W/Color markers do the same, but those you can huff. Didn't work to huff the copics. Don't have promarkers, so don't know about those. Hope this helps.

  9. Wonderful card Kath! And the image is just so beautiful too. I wouldn't use alcohol inks on stamps although some folk here do seem to have risked it. You could always try on a stamp you don't mind ruining?

I did giggle about the camping expertise - the spade is ready for you to start digging :)

  10. It's beautiful Kath. That's one gorgeous stamp...the large ones have such impact and clean simple designs like this show them off best! Never tried colouring direct to stamp with alcohol markers, I think it'd dry too quickly!

  11. Wahooooo . . . this looks FAB. Very Pretty In Pink indeed.

Only ever used dye ink direct on my stamps . . . not alcohol inks which are in Promarkers/Copics/Spectrum Noirs etc.
