Definitely Plain and Simple

Ok at a pinch the bow and the white card are made from snippets left over so I can hop, skip and jump into the Playground week 168.

So a new embossing folder - by Xcut
Penny Black stickeroo
SU ribbon
Sentiment - Woodware
Bow die - Creative Expressions
Pearls probably from Hobbyhouse.

A couple of weeks ago I bought two Embossing folders from my local craft shop, no names, no pack drill, but maybe I should, tried them and they would not work on  either my Cuttlebug or My Grand Caliber, I did check the web site for how to use these folders and thought I had got it right but they just didn't work. Took them back to the craft shop and they tried and could not get them to work.
The Lady went to look on the web site and it turned out that you had to buy their embossing plate to use them, which would have cost me  £10/£12 , now I don't know about you but I think this is a little bit naughty as you have to buy the plates for your machines and you'd expect that those who make the embossing folders to make them to fit all machines. Most brands do.

I got my money back  and bought this folder and other things, I am from Yorkshire, I don't like being ripped off. Beware.

Thanks for looking.

  1. OOoo don't mess with Kath!!!! Good for you, though returning the embossing folders, at the very least the manufacturers should make it clear on the packaging that you need the (expensive) extras!
Beautiful card, the embossing looks lovely and the simple design draws the eye to the lovely tulips.

What a cheek about those folders - good for you kicking up! Perhaps you should name and shame lest others of us fall into the same trap!
